Emma was in São Paulo to interview INSITUM and Live|Work Brazil for the book. We were particularly interested in how services are being developed and delivered in an emerging market like Brazil. This is particularly pertinent especially since the concept of service design and service innovation is still fairly new and unrecognised as yet. Emma met with Luis Arnal (Founder and Managing Partner) and Yoel Lenti (Operational Manager for Braizl) and they had a leisurely discussion over brunch at an open café surrounded by palm trees – a really beautiful location!
INSITUM is an innovation company that has been around for ten years, and they are the leading research company in global emerging markets. They believe in building a strong relationship with clients, and starting with an offering that meets the client needs rather than pushing something on to them that they are not ready to for.
Live|Work Brazil is the first company to offer service design in Brazil and was the first non-UK office for Live|Work based in the UK. Their story is mainly about efforts taken to grow the service design and innovation market through a series of talks, workshops, teaching and of course consultancy work.
